Is a Website a Product?

Is a website really a product? Dive in to see why I created mine.

The short answer here is absolutely, yes. Is it something you built that others can see and interact with? If a visitor can interact with the content, regardless of the simplicity or complexity, this is indeed a product.

Something you must ask is “What does my product hope to achieve?” Whether it be product-market fit, capturing new customer, increasing revenue, building brand awareness there has to be a clear, measurable goal.

What’s my Product's Goal?

My goal is to build my personal brand. I enjoy writing, growth and SaaS and I am going to use this as my outlet.

On my website you will find:

  • Interactive content (and why I built it)
  • My personal blog
  • Hypothetical solutions to real problems
  • More to come ...

By the time this post is published, my website and blog will be live. I will start to analyze traffic and patterns using HubSpots built in analytics to understand what value my product is adding and what I can improve and iterate on. The best part about this project is that I’m the captain, crew and vessel all at the same time. I hope you find it entertaining yet informative. It’s been a blast creating.
